All weeds were hand-pulled...

 

Nutsedge and other weeds...

Water every day, and keep the soil moist. 

By the time you think maybe the seed failed to germinate, it will sprout. 

You just have to make sure you keep the soil moist at all times!

Pull the weeds out by hand because herbicides will kill the grass. If the weeds dominate the lawn, they suck all the nutrients out of the soil which stunts the growth of the grass. I probably hand-pulled weeds every week... 

I know it takes a lot of time and dedication, but once established, it is the most trouble-free lawn!
